This cleans up the noise and makes your images colors REALLY excellent!Now here's the simple rule of thumb:
When tweaking the levels, every time work toward the middle of the histogram.
If there is a tension at the very beginning, move the slider to where the histogram data curve starts.
If there is a spike, so move to the next lowest point past the spike.
If there is a slow curve, so move the slider a little ways up the curve to create the colors pop!

Step 5: Clean the Noise From the Other Channels.

In the Channel selector window, repeat the similar process for cleaning the noise on the other two channels: "G" for Green and "B" for Blue.

Step 6: Your Finished Work!

And there you have it-faith it or not, these general steps will touch up your images and really make them sing! Simple noise reduction -can- be done by selecting the auto levels option-but I find that if you generally do it manually, you produce greater images with a better attention to detail than any photography algorithm in a program can do.
